UNIT FOR LOGISTIC SUPPORT TO SERBIAN MILITARY HOSPITAL IN THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC
Serbian military hospital in CAR, within the UN forces, works smoothly, thanks to the unit for logistic support. Although small in numbers, the logistic unit, by selfless efforts of all individuals, professionally and successfully executes its tasks.Every day, in the restaurant of "MORAVA" base, about 240 meals are prepared for the members of the contingent and patients on inpatient treatment at the hospital in accordance with the specific dietary requirements and available foodstuffs for preparation. They have shown their superior skills for preparing food and refreshments several times during protocol ceremonies, so that, apart from the members of the contingent and patients, leading figures of the mission and various guests from other contingents had opportunity to experience all the flavors of Serbian cuisine in Bangui.
The responsibilities of the unit are basic maintenance of movable assets and immovable property used by the contingent, supplying the missing foodstuffs on the local market and organization of transport for the needs of the contingent.
