Medals awarded to Serbian peacekeepers in the Central African Republic
Force Commander of the UN mission MINUSCA in the Central African Republic Major General Major General Martin Chomu Tumenta decorated 68 members of the Serbian contingent with United Nations Special Service Medals.The military ceremony in the SAF camp in Bangui was also attended by Director of Mission Support Milan Trojanovic, Deputy Commander Major General Ahmed Shafiuddin and Chief of Staff Brigadier General Frederic Hingray.
In his address, General Tumenta stressed that he was proud to be the commander of the forces that SA members are part of, who daily give an example in the MINUSCA mission of how to protect the dignity of one’s country and contribute to the reputation of the United Nations in a dedicated, responsible and professional way.
